Inspired by the video game Super Mario, Super Santa is designed in 3D and printed out with a ZPrint 450 3D printer. Super Santa consists of 513 voxels (3D pixels) of 2×2x2 cm and 35 light bulbs and is our new art work in the Archiware Studio display window.

“When we got invited by Archiware to do this project for their 10th anniversary we thought: Cool!! We really like their work, let’s make something cool out of it. But hang on a minute… we have actually no idea how they do what they do. Far from being computer nerds (ehmm), all this virtual 3-D design sounds pretty much ‘magic’ to us. So back to the roots: scissors in hand (at least we know how they work), a sheet of plastic, iron machine and ventilators. a documentary about vinyl

Onze etalage en onze Laurens (met zijn vintage jas uit 1982 ) heeft model gestaan in de documentaire film Long Play. Deze documentaire gaat over de rijke geschiedenis van de grammofoonplaat en het voortbestaan van de plaat in de tegenwoordige tijd van internet-downloads en mp3. Daar waar de CD zijn langste tijd heeft gehad leeft de LP en de single voort en worden er jaarlijks nog zo’n 80 miljoen nieuwe platen geperst wereldwijd. Internationale artiesten brengen meer >>

Wij stellen onze etalage beschikbaar aan kunstenaars die hun werk willen exposeren. Dit is het werk ‘Red lines’, een installatie van kunstenaar Adrian Brun wat in 2007 in onze etalage heeft gehangen.
